Pasta with meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 kg Braelands mince
  • 1 egg
  • handful of freshly grated parmesan
  • garlic clove minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 3 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • pinch salt

Method:

Mix together in a bowl with hands and make meatballs, place onto plate with cling wrap.To make pasta sauce .... Put one onion, i garlic clove and one teaspoon oregano into a food processor and whiz up. Heat some butter and oil in a deep wide pan, add onion mixture, cook over low heat for 10 minutes until softened. Add a bottle (700 ml) of tomato passata, and another 300 ml water. Stir in 100 ml full fat milk ( sauce will appear thin, but don't worry it will thicken up). Now drop in meat ball to sauce, let them turn from pink to brown before stirring so they don't fall apart. Cook everything for approx 20 minutes, taste and season. Serve with pasta of choice!! yum.
